MASSA LUBRENSE
The
delightful little town of Massa Lubrense and its territory is virtually triangular in
shape, its north-eastern side borders with Sorrento, whilst the other two sides are formed
by the Gulf of Salerno and the Bay of Naples, with Punta Campanella at its vertex, facing
the island of Capri. From the administrative point of view, apart from the main town there
are another seventeen villages which have developed from the ancient hamlets and are still
linked by an intricate network of paths, mule tracks and lanes as well as by the main
roads. One of these villages is Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, its name says everything about
the breathtaking views which it enjoys over both the Bay of Naples and Salerno. Not to
miss is a visit to the old fishing village of Nerano, that has become a pleasant beach
resort, without spoiling the original atmosphere, you can still buy from local fisherman,
fresh fish for your own kitchen or to be cooked in one of the nearby restaurants.
